Are Tony Millionaire’s drinking experiences as important as those of Bukowski’s? Today I had a realization that they might be. This power over alcoholism is quite unusual. He is able to transmute the amber juice into a kind of inspiration, one sign of which is Maakies, but recent historic work by me has shown there to be many other examples.

So today, I posit this question — is Tony Millionaire the leader of the modern alcoholics?

beware when handling sea snakes. these are the symptoms of a bite:

Venom

Like their cousins in the Elapidae family, the majority of sea snakes are highly venomous; however, when bites occur, it is rare for much venom to be injected, so that envenomation symptoms usually seem non-existent or trivial.[8] For example, Pelamis platurus has a venom more potent than any other terrestrial snake species in Costa Rica, but despite its abundance in the waters off its western coast, few human fatalities have been reported.[9] Nevertheless, all sea snakes should be handled with great caution.[8]

Bites in which envenomation does occur are usually painless and may not even be noticed when contact is made. Teeth may be left in the wound. There is usually little or no swelling involved and it is rare for any nearby lymph nodes to be affected. The most important symptoms are rhabdomyolysis (rapid breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue) and paralysis. Early symptoms include headache, a thick-feeling tongue, thirst, sweating, and vomiting. Symptoms that can occur after 30 minutes to several hours post-bite include generalized aching, stiffness, and tenderness of muscles all over the body. Passive stretching of the muscles is also painful, and trismus, which is similar to tetanus, is common. This is followed later on by symptoms typical of other elapid envenomations: a progressive flaccid paralysis, starting with ptosis and paralysis of voluntary muscles. Paralysis of muscles involved in swallowing and respiration can be fatal. After 3–8 hours, myoglobin as a result of muscle breakdown may start to show up in the blood plasma, which can cause the urine to turn a dark reddish, brown, or black color, and eventually lead to acute renal failure. After 6–12 hours, severe hyperkalemia, also the result of muscle breakdown, can lead to cardiac arrest.[15]

Here is one of my favorite Maakies we wrote in the past.  I did the joke, Tony the illustration.  A particularly successful result — dusting off an old classic and returning it in mint condiion.

I had a very funny conversation with Tony Millionaire the other night. I took a big sip of ginger ale which he heard through the phone, and he said “what are you drinking” and I said “Ginger Ale.”

“What’s in it?”  he said.

“Ice.” I said.

“No, What kind of alcohol,” he said.

“Nothing.”  I answered

“WHAT?!?” he yelled. “WHY?”

“I find not drinking very intoxicating,” I said.

And it is true. Every day without a drink, is, for me,  more  intoxicating than the last. Tony was dumbfounded by this. It is my hope, actually, that this is the cure that the Maakies characters will someday find.

I think I will hook up the post by email function so I can have a conversation with Tony about this soon, maybe an interview, about drinking vs. the REAL INTOXICANT, which is sobriety.  It should be fun to hear him prattle on about how great drinking is.

Her Wart Looked like this, but was in a different place on her face.

Her Wart Looked like this, but was in a different place on her face.

At the time, Tony was obsessed with her–he was always talking about her, and  none of could figure out why.   Later he told me he was able to ignore the wart while fuckng her because she had a certain kind of highly pleasing muscle in her legs and her titties were so nice.
